Crafted Memories

Last January 2018, the Evia Lifestyle Center in Muntinlupa City held a series of workshops to introduce their customers to new crafts and hobbies to help them jumpstart the new year.    For the Crafted Memories segment, I came in to share tips and techniques I have learned as an avid fan of journaling and scrapbooking.

We brought in stamps, stickers, patterned papers, journaling cards, ephemeras and many more that the guests used to decorate their journals and scrapbooks.

Crafting is such a wonderful opportunity for parent and child bonding.  I was happy to see a lot of moms crafting with their kids.

It was awesome crafty afternoon!

Thank you to Ms. Pam Mercurio, Ms. Krystal Padua and the rest of the Evia Lifestyle Center team.  🙂

At The Chalk Lettering Workshop

Last January, I won in a raffle.  And the prize …. a free seat to my craft idol Alessandra Lanot’s Chalk Lettering Workshop!!!  Here are some pictures from the event.

I don’t really like using chalk.  But, I love lettering so much that I was willing to work with it.IMG_0216 IMG_0217 IMG_0220 IMG_0221

Before working on the board, we made a thumbnail version of our sketch first. We were asked to use one of our goals this year.  Don’t mind what I wrote.  I’m not going to Beijing or Bangkok.

Here are some of the other participants’ works.

Some tips I learned: Sharpen your chalk.  Use dry chalk when making your preliminary sketch.  Use wet chalk for the final output.
