I am Ria. Getting into arts and crafts is something new for me. I was a kid who got C’s in Art Class because I wasn’t good at drawing still lifes or shading. Being asked to draw a portrait of St. Augustine and failing at it was probably the last straw.
Making crafts in Work Education was an entirely different thing. Oh, yes, I submitted beautiful baskets and perfect crochet table runners … because someone else made them for me. Hehehe!!! Work Education class = trauma!! I remember crying my eyes out, one Sunday evening, dreading to go to school because I couldn’t make a chain stitch!!!
What did I learn from all of this? I learned that the point of making art and making crafts is liking what I’ve made while enjoying the process. I don’t need anyone to tell me my work is beautiful or simply awful.
I created this blog hoping I can inspire you to make and create, too …. and also so that I can prove to my husband that I actually use the materials I hoard, hehe!
Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
I’m SO inspired! You’re so talented.
How did you teach yourself to draw? I’ve been drawing since forever and I’m still terrible.
thanks so much!! i’m actually not too confident or proud about how I draw but I just try to practice to get better. thank you 🙂
