December Daily

I first heard about December Daily from Ali Edwards.   It’s about creatively “documenting the 25 days leading up to Christmas. ”    Every year, she and chosen designers come up with several kits for documenting the season.  Kit contents include scrapbook cards, stickers, ephemeras and more.  Instead of buying new Christmas themed kits, I decided to just shop within my own stash.  I was surprised to find that I had Christmas themed items from years before.

For this project, I mainly used stickers from Claus & Co. made by Simple Stories, scrapbook cards from Project Life and Simple Stories and Christmas themed stamp sets from Hero Arts.

I started by making my own Christmas themed prompts then searching over Pinterest for other prompt ideas.  On the last week of November, I started prepping the pages of my journal so that when the actual day comes, I will only just write.  Sometimes I wrote in lists.

Sometimes in paragraphs.

Some of the prompts I chose were embarrassing to share in public, so I decided to share them #beforethepen instead. 🙂

I really enjoyed making this Christmas project.  It felt really good to be reminiscing about my past Christmases as well as celebrating this current season.  Hope that you can try doing this simple project next season.

I wonder what are the worst Christmas gifts that you received. Hihihi
I always admire your art journals. Actually, you are my inspiration. I have something to share, when I first heard about December Daily from Ali Edwards I wanna try it but I always get caught with a lot of things during the holidays so I what I did was a created an April daily last year. It is inspired by the same idea of December daily, I made it because April is my birth month and I plan to do it again this year. 🙂
